The University of Arkansas Rugby Football Club (UARFC) has a rich history, dating back to 1971. We have competed for multiple national championships for 15s and 7s over the past 2 decades. We have also produced multiple players at the professional level in the United States, competing in both the Major League Rugby, Premier Rugby 7s, and Super Rugby Americas competitions.
The University of Arkansas (UofA) is based in Fayetteville, AR which has consistently been ranked as one of the BEST places in the United States to live. Financial Aid
The University of Arkansas has a wealth of resources available related to Financial Aid. There are various scholarships, grants, and aid available to students based on their academic achievements, military service, community engagement, location, degree being pursued, and hardships. Non-Resident Tuition Award (NRTA) Scholarship
The New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Scholarship (NRTA) is an opportunity that benefits domestic students from across the country by making tuition and fees even more affordable. The NRTA scholarship covers the majority of the difference between out-of-state tuition and in-state tuition and is automatically granted to eligible degree-seeking students. Incoming freshmen or college transfers who live in the state of TX, OK, KS, MO, IL, MS, TN, or GA can qualify for up to 90% off of out-of-state tuition! All other states can obtain up to 80% based on GPA.
International Tuition Advantage
Like the NRTA scholarship, incoming freshmen and college transfers from Rwanda, Bolivia, Panama, and countries in the Carribean. Based on your cumulative GPA and either ACT or SAT score, prospective students are eligible for up to a 90% reduction in out-of-state tuition costs. Paul Roth Memorial Rugby Scholarship
The Paul Roth Memorial Rugby Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship award open to graduating high school seniors or college transfers who have committed to play rugby at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, or current University of Arkansas in Fayetteville undergraduate students on the rugby team. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The applicant’s character, recommendations, community work, school extracurricular activity, and rugby commitment will also be considered in the selection process. This scholarship is given to a different student athlete every academic year. Previous recipients of the scholarship are not eligible for a second award.
